Robson Green, widely known by his appearances on the TV programme Robsons Fishing Adventures has been working hard travelling up and down the UK visiting places on the coastline.
In June 2016 Trenewydd Farm & Holiday Cottages had the privilege of having Robson Green and his film crew stay for a week at the Farm. Trenewydd Farm & Holiday Cottages is situated in a unique part of Wales being central to three National Parks – the Pembrokeshire National Park, Snowdonia National Park and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Many of our guests visit all three while staying here and we would be pleased to host other film crews as we have 7 cottages of various sizes and can sleep up to 40. We also have hot tub spas, a very large outdoor, heated swimming pool and a football field which “boys” of all ages enjoy. We have the rolling hills of Pembrokeshire and the rugged mountains of Snowdonia not to mention the stunning coastline and beaches of the Pembrokeshire National Park and of course, dolphin watching in Cardigan Bay is an absolute must.
The TV programme ‘Tales From The Coast’ with Robson Green is due to be aired on Tuesday 8th February 2017, we encourage you to tune in and watch it, you will see all the beauty surrounding Trenewydd Farm & Holiday Cottages while enjoying the commentary from Robson. When Robson and the TV crew stayed with us in summer, they enjoyed a beautiful sunny week with us. The purpose of the show was to showcase this area, the stunning scenery, the wildlife including dolphin watching, land and sea based activities, the award winning beaches.
It was very interesting to see “behind the scenes” of all the work and organisation that goes into producing a programme and the number of people involved. They were ten in number stayed in three of our 7 cottages.
Robson took part in sea kayaking around Ramsey Island, and tried his hand and navigating some treacherous tidal rapids known locally as “The Bitches”. The Bitches and Whelps is a reef of rocks which stretches out into Ramsey Sound, and which, when combined with the strong tides which race through the area creates a notorious stretch of water. Robson also took part in a spot of cliff jumping in a disused quarry and meets a man who creates giant sand art at Mwnt Beach.

They were extremely busy from early morning to late at night and stayed out filming one night. The only relaxation time he had was when they all had a relaxing swim in our swimming pool the first night he arrived after flying in to Heathrow from Miami. We were pleased that they caught a huge salmon while here and joked about “the one that got away”. Robson was very friendly and easy to talk to and was very amenable to having his photo taken with us although we were a little nervous – who wouldn’t be with Robson Green’s hand on your shoulder!!
What touched us the most was his kind words in our guest book:
